New song and concert announced

I’m happy to announce that I’m releasing a new song on Friday, 12th of may. Please take a moment to presave it HERE and NOW. The song is called ‘Continuum’ and is the first track of a piano based album I’ve been working on. The sounds of the track come mostly from the piano, natural and processed, but it also features drums by my fantastic friend Ólafur Björn Ólafsson. The artwork was designed by another drummer, Arnar Geir Ómarssson, based on a detail from a painting by my grandmother, Anna Sigríður Björnsdóttir - who was a piano player and a visual artist and inspired me in so many ways.

A few days after the release, on Wednesday 17th, I’ll be giving my first ever piano concert in Hannesarholt! Performing this and other tracks from the album. Hannesarholt has a small and great sounding auditorium with a beautifully sounding Steinway. I’ll be performing on the piano, live looping it, applying effects and adding synths to it in real time. To give you some idea of what to expect, you can head over to my Instagram and check out this video. Tickets are on sale over here.
